At Photto, your privacy and trust are our highest priorities. We are committed to protecting your personal data and ensuring that your experience with our app is both secure and transparent. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the Photto: AI Photo Editor mobile application and any related services (collectively, the "App" or "Service").
1. Information We Collect
Photto may collect certain types of data to provide core functionalities, manage your subscription, and improve app performance. These include:
Content you provide
- Photos you upload from your gallery;
- Photos you capture using the in-app camera;
- Text prompts or settings you enter while editing;
- The original photos you upload and the AI-generated results that we store in your in-app History section so that you can re-view, re-download or reuse them later.
Subscription and credit information
- The type of subscription you purchase (e.g., weekly or yearly);
- Information needed to grant and track your editing credits (for example, 5,000 credits per week on a weekly plan or 60,000 credits per year on a yearly plan);
- Non-sensitive purchase data from the App Store (such as product ID and region). We do not receive or store your full payment card details; these are processed by Apple.
Device and usage data
- Device model, OS version, language and app version;
- General analytics such as feature usage, session length and crash logs.
This data is used only to monitor performance, fix bugs and improve the user experience.
We do not collect personally identifiable information unless you explicitly provide it (for example, when you contact support and share your email address).
2. How Your Data Is Used
We use the information we collect solely to:
- Provide and operate the core photo editing and generation features of the App;
- Apply AI-powered effects to your photos using the options you select (for example, through the nano-banana AI model operated by our provider FAL.ai);
- Store your original and edited images in your in-app History so you can access them later;
- Grant, renew and track the credits included in your subscription;
- Improve and optimize app performance, stability and design;
- Ensure security, prevent misuse and detect fraudulent activity;
- Respond to your questions, feedback or support requests.
We do not use your data for advertising, behavioral profiling or cross-app tracking.
3. Facial Data and Biometric Information
Photto's policy on facial data:
Photto does not store or retain any facial recognition templates or biometric identifiers separate from your images. However, the photos you upload—and the results we generate—may contain faces.
When you upload an image containing a face:
- The content is used to generate or edit images according to your request, including face-related edits such as hair, makeup, background or style changes.
- Processing is done securely, either on your device or on our servers and third-party processors (such as FAL.ai running the nano-banana model) strictly for the purpose of providing the selected feature.
- We save both the original image and the AI-generated result in our secure cloud storage so that we can show them to you in the in-app History section. These images remain stored until you delete them from History or request deletion via support.
- We do not extract or store separate biometric templates for facial recognition, and we do not use your images or face data to train our own or third-party models beyond what is necessary to provide the Service.
- We do not sell, share or disclose facial data to any third parties for their own independent purposes.
4. Data Storage and Security
- Original and generated images that appear in your in-app History are stored in our secure cloud storage and are linked to your device or account identifier. They are kept for as long as they remain in your History. You can delete any item from History at any time; when you do, we remove it from our active storage within a reasonable period. Residual copies may remain temporarily in routine backups before being overwritten.
- All data transfers are protected using industry-standard security measures (such as HTTPS/TLS encryption).
- Where server-side processing is required (for example, to render AI edits), your media is transmitted securely and kept only for the time needed to complete the request and, where applicable, to store the result in History.
- We take reasonable technical and organizational steps to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss or misuse.
5. Third-Party Services and AI Providers
Photto does not sell, rent or trade your personal data or media. We may use trusted third-party services strictly for:
- Analytics and crash reporting (for example, to understand app performance and fix bugs);
- Infrastructure and AI processing needed to deliver the editing features (for example, FAL.ai operating the nano-banana generative model that processes your images and prompts to return edited results);
- Subscription and purchase validation via the App Store.
These providers act as our data processors. They only receive the minimum amount of information necessary to perform their services on our behalf and are not allowed to use your content for their own marketing or other independent purposes. We encourage you to review their privacy policies for more detail about their practices.
6. User Rights
Depending on your country or region, you may have the right to:
- Request access to the personal data we hold about you (if any);
- Request correction or deletion of your personal data;
- Object to or restrict certain types of processing;
- Opt out of analytics tracking where technically available.
In addition, you can delete any image saved in your in-app History directly from within the App. You can also control app permissions (camera, photos, notifications) at any time from your device settings.
To exercise your rights or ask about your data, you can contact us at: elessarsoftware@gmail.com
7. Children's Privacy
Photto is not intended for children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe that a child has used the App and provided personal data, please contact us so we can review and delete the information where required.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App or in applicable laws. When we make changes, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Your continued use of the App after any changes become effective means that you accept the updated Privacy Policy.
